My girlfriend and I were from out of town and were looking for some great tacos that reminded us of our favorite Taqueria back home. We went to Google and found I Love Tacos Taqueria and was very glad we did.
Located across the street from a large truck stop is the quaint little taco venue at the back of a large rock parking lot. The parking lot had to be large because of the amount of traffic this place handled. We were there in the mid-evening hours on a Monday and judging by the line out the door, we thought they were giving the tacos out for free. Although they were not free they were very reasonably priced and well worth the money.
If you have ever been lucky enough to travel around Central America, you know that Authentic Tacos are different depending on which region you are in. For many Americans on either side of the US southern border, Tacos are an important comfort food. This holds especially true for this Texas native gringo. My girlfriend and I eat tacos at least once every single week and most weeks we gobble down three to four tacos three or four times a week from our local Taqeria.. We are addicted to them. Thankfully, I Love Tacos Taqueria helped fulfill our addiction.
We were served quickly, with friendly customer service and we devoured our tacos and fresh-tasting tamales at one of the two small two-person bar-height tables inside the container converted into a lobby for the venue. There was picnic table space provided under a pavilion outside but I was hoping to wait out the crowd to ask the operators questions about them and their establishment but after over an hour of watching the line just get longer we finally had to leave. I do look forward to returning the next time we are in town.
